As part of a crackdown on drunk driving, many luxury cars were seized in Bhubaneswar.

After the Commissionerate Police seized high-end vehicles on Sunday night during a crackdown on drunk drivers, including brands like Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and Range Rover, several luxury cars were discovered parked on the grounds of Traffic Police Station-II at Patrapada in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

Additionally, one of the confiscated automobiles had the phrase “Government of Gujarat” written on it.

A zero-tolerance policy has been implemented by the police against intoxicated drivers. They conducted checking and blocking activities throughout the city on Sunday night in addition to launching a special drive against drunk driving as part of this exercise. These vehicles were seized while being checked.
Tow trucks carrying the confiscated cars arrived at Traffic Police Station II.

Typically, when a driver is pulled over for the first time while intoxicated, the car is seized and the driver is reported to the court. His driver’s licence will be revoked and the car will be seized for the second offence. A driver’s licence will be permanently revoked along with the vehicle’s registration if they are found guilty of the same offence a third time.
