In keeping with the government's goal of increasing "Jan Bhagidari" in events of national importance, the stage is set for the 76th Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on January 26. President Droupadi Murmu will lead the nation in celebrating Republic Day, and approximately 10,000 Special Guests from various backgrounds have been invited to watch the parade.
These Special Guests are the architects of "Swarnim Bharat." For the first time, a tri-services tableau will roll down on Kartavya Path, showcasing the spirit of integration. The tableau, themed "Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat," will depict a Joint Operations Room that facilitates networking and communication among the three Services.
The Republic Day procession is scheduled to begin at 10:30 am and last for ninety minutes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the National War Memorial to lead the country in laying a wreath in remembrance of the fallen soldiers, marking the start of the program. The Prime Minister and other dignitaries will then watch the parade from the saluting dais at Kartavya Path.
The Indian Army's highest-ranking regiment, the President's Bodyguard, will accompany the president of India and her Indonesian counterpart upon their arrival. The "Traditional Buggy," which was revived in 2024 after a 40-year hiatus, will be used to transport the two presidents.
Using 105-mm Light Field Guns, an indigenous weapon system, a thundering 21-gun salute will be used to unfurl the National Flag and play the National Anthem, as is customary.
The Veterans' Tableau with the subject "Viksit Bharat ki Ore Sadaiv Agrasar" is another highlight. It pays a moving homage to the unbreakable spirit of our veterans, who are the epitome of discipline, tenacity, and unwavering dedication.
This year's parade will have tableaux from 10 Ministries/Departments of the Central Government and 16 State Governments/Union Territories, showcasing "Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas."
