Bollywood action star Ajay Devgn, who also produced Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, is reportedly planning a sequel about India's unsung heroes in response to the film's incredible success. The sequel will also be directed by Om Raut, if reports are to be believed.
But Hrithik Roshan, the "Greek God," is the icing on the cake. According to reports, Ajay Devgn is eager to have Hrithik Roshan play the lead antagonist, which would be the first time the two superstars have worked together in Indian cinema.
Yes, you read that right! If everything falls into place, Hrithik Roshan is mostly likely to play a significant role as the main villain of the movie. Earlier, the two were reportedly planning to make a film on the story of Maratha general Baji Prabhu Deshpande, known for his valour in the Battle of Pavan Khind (1660).
Baji Prabhu sacrificed his life defending Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. However, a Marathi film Pawankhind which explored the same subject, led to the scrapping of the film.
However, Ajay feels Hrithik has tremendous screen presence and charisma and is keen on collaborating him with a period film.
“Hrithik has tremendous screen presence. Couple that with his acting prowess, and he would be a towering rival to Ajay’s character. If things align, this dynamic duo will be one of the highlights of the sequel,” a Bollywood Hungama report mentioned citing and insider.
While these are all speculations, both Ajay and Hrithik are yet to officially release a statement regarding the same.
On the work front, Ajay was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ while Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming high octane-action film ‘War 2’ also starring Tollywood heartthrob Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani.
