Up to 11 confirmed cases of dengue have been found in Saintala thus far. Six patients are presently receiving treatment at the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir, while five patients have already made a full recovery.
In response to the rising number of dengue cases, the block administration reportedly plans to reduce breeding sources and organise cleanliness drives.
The officials from the Health Department and the block held a review meeting earlier on the dengue situation in the area.
