Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Bollywood's action star Ajay Devgn are gearing up for Drishyam 3. Meanwhile, the reports of Ajay and Mohanlal being open to the idea of a crossover in the third instalment of the Drishyam franchise has elevated the excitement among all. Though there is no official confirmation, Mohanlal and Ajay might make special appearances in each other's movies. Well, amid this another such crossover of a South cinematic franchise and its Hindi remake is likely to happen. The crossover will be between Tollywood's Natural Star Nani and Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao in HIT-Verse.
Notably, after donning the hat of a presenter in Hit: The First Case and Hit: The Second Case, Nani is set to take on the role of an actor in Hit: The Third Case. The third instalment of the HIT-verse is poised to be grander and bloodier than its predecessor. Nani will be seen as a tough cop and Hit: The Third Case will see a pan-India release in multiple languages including Hindi. However, the Hindi audience is already acquainted with the HIT-verse as Rajkummar Rao headlined the Hindi remake of the first instalment.
Natural Star All Praises for Rajkummar
During a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Nani opened up about how he agreed to give the rights of Hit: The First Case. He also revealed the possibility of a crossover of himself and Rajkummar.
Showering praises on the Stree actor said, "I haven’t seen the Hindi version of Hit yet. It was produced by Dil Raju Garu. He took the rights from me. Rajkummar is a brilliant actor. I’ve watched a lot of his films and I was extremely confident that they will make a much more superior product than us."
Further, he added, "I didn’t get to watch it but I’ve heard a lot of praises about the film, especially after it was released on OTT. I’ve heard such good things about his performance in it."
Nani Discloses Plans of Crossover
During the interview, Nani also shared his plans of bringing the Srikanth actor to the original Hit Universe with Shailesh Kolanu at the helm.
When asked if there is a chance of Vikram Jaisingh and Arjun Sarkar's crossover, the Nenu Local actor said, "I hope that in the future, we can bring back Rajkummar into the Hit universe. Yes, there should be a crossover. We’ve plans of making Hit that’s set in Karnataka. The possibilities in this universe are huge. We’re a franchise like KFC (laughs). Any state can be picked and chosen and a story can be set there."
