Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani terrorist based in the United States, has threatened to disrupt the All India DGsP/IGsP Conference 2024, which is currently taking place in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
It is alleged that Pannun threatened a journalist in Bhubaneswar via email and audio. The alleged audio message warns that December 1st is a D-day and that flights from Bhubaneswar International Airport should be avoided.

The e-mail has been sent to journalist Akshaya Sahoo, who has reportedly informed the matter to senior officials of Commissionerate Police.
“I have been working with an international media and they might have sent the email to me. I was surprised to see the e-mail in which D-day has been written. It seems as a threat mail. As the caption is in Odia, it appears that it should not be taken seriously as some locals might be hand-in gloves. I have spoken with Commissionerate Police Commissioner and will formally lodge a complaint,” said journalist Sahoo.
Sahoo further said as the message has been sent to a local media house with Odia caption on it and terming PM as terrorist, it is suspected that some local people might be working in coordination.
It is for the second time that such a threat has been issued by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
Meanwhile, already security has been beefed up at strategic locations in Bhubaneswar which is hosting the crucial All India DGsP/IGsP Conference.
The Intelligence wing of Odisha, SPG and other agencies have intensified their operations and strengthened security measures at the places where the crucial event is being held. Additional forces have been mobilised, sources said.
