"RI, Amin recruitment irregularities": Bhubaneswar student and youth Congress activists demonstrate

Numerous students and youth Congress activists staged a large demonstration in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday, claiming that the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) had conducted irregularities in the RI, ARI, and Amin recruitment exams.

The Odisha Assembly was attempted to be gheraoed. But security guards at Lower PMG in the capital city stopped them. During the demonstration, a tussle-like situation between the activists and police officers was observed.

A cancellation of the OSSSC recruitment exam is what the activists are calling for. The state government allegedly used blacklisted companies to carry out the inspection, according to the demonstrators.

"Jobs were sold by the previous BJD government. The government was changed by the populace. However, the new administration is also carrying on the legacy of the previous one.

A senior Congress leader said, “Today, the future of aspirants hangs in balance due to the failure of the BJD and BJP government. Why cannot the exam be re-conducted when the government has admitted that there were some lapses? Instead of taking time, the government should immediately take action on the matter.”
