Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has spent the last ten years mastering the art of fusing diplomacy and culture, brought with him a number of distinctive gifts that showcased India's rich cultural legacy during his recently concluded trip to Guyana, Brazil, and Nigeria.
Sources claim that Prime Minister Modi brought a number of carefully chosen handcrafted artifacts and products for the foreign leaders with him as he deepened India's diplomatic ties with nations ranging from Africa to Latin America.
Eight items from Maharashtra, five from Jammu and Kashmir, three from Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, two from Jharkhand, and one each from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, and Ladakh were included.
Among the gifts from Maharashtra were the Silofer Panchamrit Kalash (pot), a beautiful example of traditional craftsmanship from Kolhapur, which was given to Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu; Warli paintings, a tribal art form from the Warli tribe, which is primarily found in the Dahanu, Talasari, and Palghar regions of Maharashtra; a natural rough amethyst from Pune with a silver camel head on top, which was given to Australian Prime Minister .
