Achieve 85 per cent expenditure target in 2024-25 fiscal: Odisha CM

According to an official statement, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has set a goal of spending 85% of the budget estimates for the fiscal year 2024–2025, compared to 80% spent in 2023–2024.

This goal was established by Majhi, who also oversees the Finance portfolio, during Thursday's review of various departments' spending.

Although expenditure was impacted by the elections, government transition, and the budget presentation in September, Majhi stated that spending appeared to be satisfactory.

"To meet the target, Majhi advised ministers to approve expenditure proposals and clear pending payments under welfare schemes", the statement issued by the CMO said.
