In Jammu division, 40,000 candidates attend army recruitment rallies.

According to officials on Sunday, almost 40,000 candidates attended army recruitment rallies in various districts of the Jammu division of J&K.

After a five-year break, the army held a recruitment rally in the border district of Poonch, where more than 26,000 young candidates took part. Separately, more than 12,000 eager young people who wanted to serve the country attended another rally in the Doda district at Dugga, close to Bhalra. In order to fill 307 positions for general duty soldiers and 45 positions for clerks and tradesmen in the Territorial Army, the recruitment rally in Poonch began on November 8 at the Advance Landing Ground in Surankote, according to an officer.
According to him, candidates from all of Jammu and Kashmir could apply for clerk and tradesman positions, while candidates from the 31 Tehsils of the Jammu division, including Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, and Jammu districts, could attend the rally for soldier general duty.

"During the 10-day rally, more than 26,000 eager candidates from all over the region participated in the selection process, demonstrating their mental and physical preparedness to serve the country," he said.



He went on to say that the drive was planned with the intention of creating job opportunities and motivating young people to enlist in the military. The candidates were put through a battery of physical tests, such as a 1.6-kilometer run, chin-ups, and other endurance exercises, before undergoing medical exams and having their documentation checked.

"The local youth's response has been amazing. Such zeal and desire to enlist in the Indian Army is encouraging. We are dedicated to offering an impartial and open selection procedure," he stated.
Approximately 4,000 applicants passed the ground test and will take part in the medical exam, according to the official. The army's organization of the recruitment drive in the border district was praised by the locals.

According to the officials, the event was carried out strictly in accordance with safety regulations, guaranteeing that the sizable crowd was handled without incident.
