Bravo to a group of medical professionals from the cardiothoracic division of the SCB Medical College and Hospital located in Cuttack! On Tuesday, a patient from Mayurbhanj had a tree branch pierce through his body. The branch was successfully removed.

According to reports, Subash Marandi was picking flowers from a tree while residing in Baidakhadi village, which is under the jurisdiction of Udala police. Unfortunately, Marandi fell off the tree and a branch pierced his body. His health was seriously compromised.

His first destination was the PRM Medical College and Hospital in Baripada, from where he was subsequently transferred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

He underwent surgery from a group of physicians from the cardiothoracic department and other medical professionals, and the branch was removed. Following the removal of the tree branch, it was reported that the patient’s condition was stable.

“The doctors of anaesthesia played a key role,” stated Dr. Manoj Pattnaik, the head of the cardiothoracic department at SCB Medical College and Hospital. The patient was not capable of falling asleep. Giving an anaesthesia was difficult. They provided it using a novel method. The young person’s liver, lungs, and kidneys were among the organs damaged when the tree branch punctured their body. There were surgeons from these departments present, excluding urology and general surgery. Our success came from working together as a team.
