Amid the rising cases of cyber frauds, the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has warned job aspirants of fake links that are reportedly in circulation on various social media platforms.
“It has come to the notice of the Hon’ble Commission that some fake advertisements for recruitments in the name of OPSC along with links for deposit of application fees are available in social media. This may mislead innocent candidates, who can fall into trap of the fraud,” OPSC said.

“All the candidates are therefore, informed that the Govt. in GA & PG Department vide order No. 9897/Gen, dt. 11.04.2022, has exempted fees for all categories of candidates and there is no provision in e-Chayan (online application portal) of OPSC for accepting the same. Hence, the candidates are advised not to follow such misleading advertisements published in social media,” it said.
Fake Job Assurances by Crooks
Informing candidates about these fraudulent activities, the Commission has also advised candidates to stay away from any type of job assurance by unscrupulous elements as it follows a transparent recruitment process.
“OPSC follows a robust, transparent and merit based process in all the recruitments. Any assurance for selection by unscrupulous elements should not only be ignored, but be brought to our notice for remedial measures.
