Sunny Deol talks about her role in the Ramayana for the first time after Ranbir Kapoor.

Since the announcement, there has been a lot of excitement about Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. The KGF star disclosed all about playing Demon King Ravana in the film, despite prior speculations claiming that Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Yash would play significant roles in the film rendition of the Indian legend. Ranbir has talked candidly for the first time about portraying Lord Ram. And now, for the first time, Sunny Deol has talked about her involvement in the Ramayana.

Ranbir has talked candidly for the first time about portraying Lord Ram. And now, for the first time, Sunny Deol has talked about her involvement in the Ramayana.

According to sources, Sunny Deol acknowledged that he was a part of the Ramayana and offered some insights during the third SCREEN Live event in Mumbai.
“Ramayana is a lengthy project because they are trying to make it the way Avatar and Planet of the Apes movies were made,” the Gadar actor stated. Every one of those technicians is involved.

The actor from Yamla Pagla Deewana, who was joined by his brother Bobby Deol, further disclosed that the director and writer are quite clear on the idea and how it must be. They also know just how to portray the characters in the masterpieces.

Furthermore, Sunny also assured that Ramayana will be visually impressive. He said that the special effects in the movie will make the audience believe that the events have actually happened rather than thinking that those are special effects.

"To be honest, I’m very sure it’s going to be great and I’m sure that everybody will love it,” concluded Sunny.

Although Sunny Deol confirmed being a part of Ramayana, he didn't confirm essaying Lord Hanuman's role in the two-part movie.

Notably, Ramayana: Part 1 will be released in Diwali 2026 and Ramayana: Part 2 will hit the theatres in Diwali 2027. Reports have also been abuzz that Nitesh Tiwari has plans to bring a standalone movie on Lord Hanuman. However, fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the makers.
