Dry weather and dense fog likely in Odisha districts; IMD issues yellow warning

In the upcoming days, dry weather is expected to predominate in various regions of Odisha due to the lack of any major systems. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast on Sunday that a number of districts in the state would likely encounter heavy fog in the early morning hours.

The minimum temperature in various parts of Odisha is expected to rise, resulting in warmer nights, following a 2 to 3 degree Celsius drop.
“Minimum temperature (night temperature) likely to gradually rise by 2-4 degree C during next 3 days and no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” informed IMD.

Weather Forecast

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 10.02.2025): Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur during early morning hours at a few places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangapur, Gajapati, Ganjam and at one or two places over the district of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nayagarh.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nanarangapur, Gajapati, Ganjam.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.02.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.02.2025): Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur during early morning hours at a few places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal.
