Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi drove his fans wild on his 46th birthday after announcing a sequel to his 2007 hit movie Awarapan. Fans couldn't keep calm after the teaser of Awarapan 2: The Journey Continues was dropped. Moreover, fans were elated that the sequel will be a continuation to Awarapan and Emraan will likely reprise his role of Gangster Shivam. Amid the elevated excitement and expectations, Emraan Hashmi recently dropped a major update on Awarapan 2.

Awarapan 2 To Go On Floors In...

Emraan Hashmi is currently gearing up for his upcoming Ground Zero and is busy with promotions. During a recent interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Emraan was asked about Awarapan 2.

Talking about the sequel, Emraan said that the movie will go on the floors in July 2025. Further, he said that currently the scripting of Awarapan 2 is in progress and once it is completed, they will start the shooting. Furthermore, he revealed that Awarapan 2 will hit the theaters on April 3, 2026.

On March 24, Emraan Hashmi doubled the excitement of his fans after dropping the teaser of Awarapan 2. The teaser included some beautiful scenes from Awarapan with Emraan's voice-over. In the teaser, the Tiger 3 actor is also seen freeing a bird from a cage while saying, "Kisi aur ki zindagi ke liye marna hi meri manzil hai (To die for someone else’s life is my destiny)."

Throughout the teaser, the iconic song from Awarapan 'Tera Mera Rishta' can be heard playing in the background.

The teaser ended with the Jannat actor's intense eyes, flashing 'Awarapan 2: The Journey Continues' along with its release date.
