According to the Jharkhand Election Results 2024, Kalpana Murmu Soren is lagging behind in the Gandey Assembly constituency, which is a significant blow for the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Muniya Devi is being challenged by Kalpana Soren.

After husband and Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested by the Election Commission (EC) in connection with a money laundering case, Kalpana Soren started her political career and became a candidate in the Jharkhand Assembly elections.

As per the current trends on the 81-seat Jharkhand Assembly, the INDIA is leading on 50 seats, the NDA is ahead on 30 seats.
