A class 10 student dies in a traffic accident while traveling to the Malkangiri Matric exam center.

A Class 10 student, on his way to Matric examination centre, lost his life after meeting with a road mishap near Chandanguda area in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Thursday.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, two students from MV-101 village were on their way to the Matric examination centre at Serpalli area on a bike when a speeding pickup van coming from the opposite direction hit the bike causing death of a student on the spot and leaving other injured, sources.

Reportedly, the biker and the pillion riders were not wearing helmets. While one of the students sustained head injuries in the mishap and died on the spot, the other student was rushed to a nearby hospital. Later, the injured student went to the examination centre to appear for the examination.

Meanwhile, the unfortunate incident has left the local community in deep sorrow. Authorities are investigating the accident, and further details are awaited.

11 Class 10 Students Injured In Kendrapara Accident

As many as 11 Class 10 students from Vivekananda High School sustained injuries when their SUV overturned near Krushna Nagar Chhak while en route to their matriculation exams at Naga Narayan High School on February 21. 

The collision killed cyclist Subrat Mandal instantly, with one student in critical condition. Despite injuries, some students still attended their exams after receiving treatment at Talchua Hospital.
