Android phones will soon get Apple TV Plus; learn about the subscription plan and other important details.

Apple released its Apple TV Plus app for Android devices after more than eight years of releasing the iOS version. US Android users can download the app from the Google Play Store and start using Apple TV+ on their phones, tablets, and foldables on February 12, 2025.

The Android app offers features like offline downloads and saved watchlists. Users can subscribe to Apple TV+ for $9.99 per month and MLS Season Pass for $14.99 per month or $99 per season using Google Play billing. However, renting or buying movies and TV shows is not supported in the Android app as of yet.

The app includes features like “Continue Watching” and “Watchlist,” allowing users to stream over WiFi or cellular connections and download content for offline viewing.

Apple TV+: $9.99/month in the US

MLS Season Pass: $14.99/month or $99/season

A seven-day free trial available for new Apple TV+ subscribers is also available and the app also supports subscriptions to other streaming services like Paramount+, Starz, and AMC+.

Content Highlights

Apple TV+ features original series, films, documentaries, and kids' entertainment. High-rate original shows include Severance, Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, and original films like Killers of the Flower Moon and the Oscar-winning CODA.

Sports Content The app also provides access to sports content like the MLS Season Pass and Friday Night Baseball, with no local broadcast restrictions. Moreover, starting this year, Apple TV+ subscribers can watch Sunday Night Soccer, showcasing MLS’s most compelling matchups.
