Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni amused fans by addressing a famous rumour during a Chennai Super Kings promotional event.
The event, held on Tuesday, witnessed Dhoni tackling the myth that has persisted throughout his cricketing career.
The vetearan wicketkeeper-batsman was asked about the most absurd rumour he had encountered. With his trademark candidness, Dhoni replied, "I drink five litres of milk daily." This declaration was met with laughter from the audience, as Dhoni proceeded to clarify the myth, emphasising that such an intake was implausible.
"I used to drink perhaps a litre of milk spread out during the day. But four litres? That's quite excessive for anyone," he remarked.
Adding a touch of humour, Dhoni also addressed the quirky tale suggesting he made lassi with a washing machine. Laughing it off, he stated, "First of all, I don't drink lassi."
For long-time Dhoni enthusiasts, the myth originates from earlier in his career, insinuating that his formidable batting strength was due to an alleged daily consumption of five litres of milk.
Coming back to IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings are going through horrible time. The team has now a faint chance to qualify for the play-off stage. Recently, Dhoni has been appointed as the captain of the team. The Yellow Brigade are hopeful of revival under the inspiring leadership of 'Captain Cool'.
