On Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a forecast indicating that heavy rainfall is expected in several parts of Odisha over the next few days.
In certain areas of the state, there is a yellow warning for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, according to the IMD.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 25.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar.
