Over the northwest BoB, along the beaches of north Andhra and south Odisha, low pressure develops: IMD

A low pressure area has developed over the West Central Bay of Bengal and its neighboring Northwest Bay, off the coastlines of north and south Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, due to cyclonic circulation over the Central Bay of Bengal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that on Tuesday, a low pressure system has developed over the northwest Bay of Bengal.

“A low pressure area has formed over West Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay off north and south Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts, under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Central Bay of Bengal,” the IMD reported.

According to IMD, the related cyclonic circulation tilts southwestward and reaches up to 7.6 km above mean sea level
