As Odisha gets ready to welcome the new year, wet weather is predicted to start today. Over the following two days, a western disturbance is expected to bring light to moderate rainfall to the northern and northwestern regions.
According to the meteorological office, there may be precipitation on the 28th and 29th of this month due to light to moderate rainfall predicted in a number of regions. Rain showers are possible today in the districts of Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, and Sonepur. Rainfall is expected in areas like Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi on December 29.

A yellow fog warning has been issued for the districts of Balangir, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Nabarangpur today, alerting the locals to the possibility of intense fog.
