Esha Verma, the stepdaughter of Anupamaa fame actress Rupali Ganguly made headlines last year when her post from 2020 resurfaced online. In this post she had made serious accusations against the television actress. Esha had said that Rupali played a key role in the separation of her parents and that Rupali during one of her visits to their home in New Jersey had slept in the bed shared by her parents.

Now on her official Instagram account a teary eyed Esha Verma has said that she had to face intense scrutiny and harsh judgment for speaking against Rupali Ganguly.

In the video uploaded on Wednesday Esha Verma said, “Some days you can be okay and some days you are a complete wreck. You get scrutinised for wanting to speak up and you also get questioned, ‘Where the f**k did you go?’ When you have your own family, who wants to destroy you for just trying to live her life? I tried to be happy but we don’t talk about these things."

Esha also called her family crazy as people who want to indulge themselves in all the drama. Further in the video, she thanked everyone who stood by her listened to her, and rooted for her all through her struggle. Esha Verma says, “I’m working on moving forward—but this was my fight, and it was my right to speak on it. I was a “nepo baby" kept in the shadows. I grew up with silence, confusion, and pain that wasn’t mine to carry. When the truth came out — unexpectedly and loudly — I was the one blamed.” She also said that though she came out with her story with intention it was never to seek attention but only to recover and move ahead.

Esha Verma - Rupali Ganguly feud details

The feud gained momentum after a post of Esha Verma from 2020 attracted attention last year. In this post Esha alleged that Rupali Ganguly was the reason behind the breaking of the earlier marriage of Ashwin K Verma and that the Anupamaa actress also at times threatened her and her mother.When the matter became a big sensation, Ashwin came out with a clarification saying that Rupali did not have anything to do with his divorce from Sapna Verma. Esha has also said that Rupali had abused her physically, mentally, and verbally following which Rupali Ganguly slapped a defamation case on Esha demanding compensation of Rs 50 crore.
