At mean sea level, the monsoon trough currently moves through the cities of Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Gwalior, and Balasore before heading east-south-east to the northeast Bay of Bengal.
On Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that there is a cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and another over Bangladesh and the surrounding areas.
Rainfall activity is currently occurring in several parts of Odisha, and according to IMD, it is expected to continue until August 4, 2024. For certain districts in Odisha, a yellow warning has been issued due to heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
