In the next 48 hours, though, some areas of the state may see even higher daytime temperatures.
Manorama Mohanty, the director of IMD Bhubaneswar, forecasted a heatwave in Odisha during the ensuing 48 hours.
She stated, “During the next 48 hours, heatwave to severe heatwave is likely to prevail in the districts of Odisha like Sonepur, Boudh and Jharsuguda.”
On May 30, it is also very likely that Angul and Sundargarh will experience heatwave conditions. She said that there’s a good chance of light to moderate rain on June 1 and 2, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds.
