To win the WPL, RCB defeated Delhi Capitals by eight wickets.

In the final played on Sunday, Aclinical Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Capitals by eight wickets to win the Women’s Premier League 2024.

DC was bowled out for 113 in 18.3 overs while batting first. To the dismay of the weekend supporters of the home team, RCB managed to reach the target of 114 with three balls remaining.

DC were cruising at 64 for no loss in 43 balls with Shafali Verma (44 off 27 balls) in fine form when they committed harakiri, losing 10 wickets for just 49 runs.

Following Shafali’s exploits at the top of the order, spinners Sophie Molineux (3/20) and Shreyanka Patil (4/12) helped RCB mount a stunning comeback.
