Fans’ anticipation is growing as international hockey is about to return to Odisha. The FIH Pro League 2023–24 Bhubaneswar and Rourkela legs, which are slated to take place at Kalinga Stadium and Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium between February 3–25, are about to take place in the State, which has become a global centre for hockey.
The women’s teams from China, the United States, the Netherlands, and Australia have arrived in Bhubaneswar and are making their last preparations ahead of the highly anticipated FIH Pro League, which takes place in just two days.
Hockey fans are excited to watch some fantastic hockey and support their favourite teams as ticket sales for both in-person and online events have begun. Hockey fever has gripped both Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, which have become the state’s hockey epicentres. At both locations, efforts are being made to give teams and supporters an unforgettable experience. Everything has been carefully planned, including the venue, security, transportation, lodging, hospitality, and event management.
The Indian men’s and women’s hockey teams will compete in the mini-tournament. Leading lady Savita’s women’s hockey team will return to the FIH Pro League. They will play their first game at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela between February 12–18, after which they will play the USA, Netherlands, China, and Australia at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar from February 3–9.
The men’s team, on the other hand, will play home games in Bhubaneswar from February 10 to 16 against the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, and Ireland. After that, they’ll relocate to Rourkela for their return matches, which are scheduled for February 19–25.
