Prakash Behera, a former Salepur MLA, leaves the BJP

Prakash Behera, a former MLA from Salepur, has severed his connection to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Ahead of the Odisha elections of 2024, he has resigned from the party’s primary membership.

The letter from Behera to Manmohan Samal, the president of the Odisha unit, stated, “I tried his best to do justice to the post and make the party achieve milestones but have been unable to do so satisfactorily.”

In addition to resigning from the district president position, Behera also submitted his resignation from the primary membership. It is important to note that Behera was a member of the Congress before switching to the BJP in 2019. Despite running on the BJP ticket in 2019, he was unsuccessful.
