PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 68000 crore in Odisha.

During his visit to Odisha tomorrow (Saturday), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone of several infrastructure projects totaling over Rs 68,000 crore.

On Saturday at around 2:15 p.m., the Prime Minister will launch and lay the foundation stone of the infrastructure projects during a public program in Sambalpur.

In Sambalpur, Odisha, a public program will be held to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for many projects targeted at advancing the energy sector, as per a statement issued by the PMO.

The “Dhamra – Angul Pipeline Section” (412 km) of the “Jagdishpur–Haldia & Bokaro–Dhamra Pipeline Project (JHBDPL)” will be officially opened by the prime minister. The “Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga” project, which was built at a cost of more than Rs 2450 crore, will link Odisha to the national gas grid. The Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline’s 692-kilometer “Nagpur Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline Section” will also have its foundation stone laid by the prime minister. The project, whose development will cost about Rs 2660 crore, will increase the availability of natural gas for states like Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Odisha.

The Prime Minister will also lay the cornerstone for many power projects totaling approximately 28,980 crore and dedicate the program to the country. The NTPC Darlipali Super Thermal Power Station (2×800 MW) and the NSPCL Rourkela PP-II Expansion Project (1×250 MW) in Odisha’s Sundargarh district are two of the projects that will be dedicated to the country. Additionally, he will lay the cornerstone for the NTPC Talcher Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (2×660 MW), located in the Odisha district of Angul. These power projects would provide multiple states, including Odisha, with affordable power.

The Prime Minister will officially launch the over 27000 crore Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) Talabira Thermal Power Project. This cutting-edge project will support the Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by providing dependable, affordable, and 24/7 power. It will also play a major role in the nation’s economic growth and prosperity and considerably contribute to energy security.

The Prime Minister will officially open two of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited’s coal infrastructure projects: the Lajkura Rapid Loading System (RLS) and Bhubaneswari Phase-I of the First Mile Connectivity (FMC) projects in the Talcher Coalfields in the Angul district. These installations, which were constructed for roughly Rs. 2145 crore, will improve the quantity and quality of dry fuel from Odisha. The Prime Minister will also open the Ib Valley Washery, which was constructed in the Odisha district of Jharsuguda at a cost of more than Rs. 550 crore.

It will represent innovation and sustainability and represent a paradigm leap in the quality of coal processing. A 50 km section of the Jharsuguda-Barpali-Sardega rail line Phase-1, constructed by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited at a cost of Rs 878 crore, will be dedicated by the prime minister to the country.

The Prime Minister will also officially open three National Highways road sector projects, which have a combined budget of almost Rs 2110 crore. The NH 215 Rimuli-Koida Section (New NH No. 520), the NH 23 Biramitrapur-Brahmani Bypass End Section (New NH No. 143), and the NH 23 Brahmani Bypass End-Rajamunda Section (New NH No. 143) are among the projects. In addition to improving connectivity, these projects will support the region’s economic growth.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will consecrate the nation and lay the cornerstone for around Rs. 2146 crore worth of railway projects. He will lay the cornerstone for the reconstruction of Sambalpur Railway Station, which takes its architectural cues from Sailashree Palace. In order to increase the capacity of the local rail network, he would also dedicate the Sambalpur-Talcher Doubling Railway Line (168 km) and the Jhartarbha to Sonepur New Railway line (21.7 km). Additionally, the Prime Minister will launch the Puri-Sonepur-Puri Weekly Express, enhancing connectivity for local rail users.

The Prime Minister will also open IIM Sambalpur’s permanent campus. In addition, he will devote the nation to the Jharsuguda Head Post Office Heritage Building.

After that, the prime minister would visit Assam. The Prime Minister will launch and lay the foundation stone for a number of development projects valued at over Rs 11,000 crore during a public event in Guwahati on February 4 at around 11:30 AM.
