Odisha’s Kampa Bhai Job Scam: With more skeletons coming to light, the name of the BJD MP appears

Japa Bandhu Kampa’s closet is starting to open up more and more, exposing how he was defrauding job seekers out of lakhs of rupees due to his purported connections to a BJD MP.

OTV has access to documentation showing how Kampa used his institute as a smokescreen to deceive job seekers under the pretence of offering jobs.

Purnachandra Rout, the victim, gave Kampa Rs 4 lakh in exchange for a position in the district administration. Rout began requesting money from Kampa when the latter was unable to get him a job. Rather than giving the money back, he was threatening to do him serious harm.

He gave me a cheque when we regularly visited him, asking me to deposit it after five or six days. Dibya Lochan Behera was the name on the cheque. Upon inquiry, I discovered that there was insufficient balance in the account,” stated Rout.

Following Rout’s complaint, Kampa was taken into custody and is presently being held.

Concurrently, Dibya Lochan Behera, who functioned as an intermediary for Kampa, also publicly disapproved of him.

Tribal leader and BJD Rajya Sabha MP Niranjan Bisi is close to him, so nobody can harm him, he would say whenever I warned him of the consequences, Behera said.

“Purnachandra Rout has lodged a complaint alleging that Kampa had taken Rs 4.5 lakh from him, promising him a government job,” Bolangir SDPO Pradeep Kumar Sahu said, providing information about the case. We have filed a complaint and taken Kampa into custody based on his complaint. In order to work with them and move forward with our investigation, we kindly ask each and every victim to come forward and file a complaint against Kampa. We could place him under remand while we continue our investigation.

We tried contacting BJD MP Niranjan Bisi for his comments, but were unsuccessful.
