At Kuakhai Bridge near Trisulia in the Cuttack district of Odisha, a tragic road accident claimed the life of an anchor member of a popular Odia daily soap opera, while four others are critically injured. The terrifying accident happened as three women, who were part of a television series, were driving back to their homes.
According to accounts, three women from the Salepur area were driving home after the shooting ended at around two or three in the morning when a speeding truck struck their car, instantly killing one of the women. The driver of the car, along with the other two women, suffered severe injuries and were admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital. According to reports, the truck driver sustained injuries in the collision as well and is receiving treatment in SCB.
The truck carrying cement slid off the bridge and onto the riverbed due to the force of the collision. According to reports, the car sustained total damage in the collision as well.
The two injured women have suffered severe head injuries, while the driver of the car has broken limbs. We still don’t know who the dead and injured people were.
