Magisterial investigation into Mukhtar Ansari’s death ordered by the UP government

The government of Uttar Pradesh has mandated a magisterial inquiry into Mukhtar Ansari’s passing.

A government spokesman stated that a three-person team will be conducting the investigation.

According to Umar Ansari, the son of Mukhtar Ansari, the gangster-turned-politician endured “slow poisoning” while incarcerated.

Afzal Ansari, the MP for Ghazipur and brother of Ansari, also made a similar allegation. The authorities, however, have refuted the accusation.

The former five-time Mau MLA Mukhtar filed an application in Barabanki court last week, claiming that some sort of “poisonous substance” was given to him with his food.

Ansari stated that after eating the meal on March 19, he began to experience pain in his limbs and nerves.
