Following the CM of Odisha’s oath-taking ceremony, the Commissionerate Police issues a traffic advisory.

The new Odisha Chief Minister is expected to take the oath of office on June 12, so the Commissionerate Police decided on Tuesday to impose strict traffic restrictions.

At the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, which will host the swearing-in ceremony for the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Odisha, traffic restrictions will be enforced. The swearing-in ceremony of the BJP’s new chief minister in Odisha is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to the most recent traffic advisory from the Commissionerate Police, on June 12, 2024, from 2 PM to 7 PM, or until the end of the event, no vehicle is permitted to travel from Jaydev Vihar Square to Nalco Square road and Nalco Square to Jaydev Vihar and its connecting lane / by lane. This excludes vehicles that have been given passes.

Buses arriving from the Cuttack side should use the following route: from Railway Colony golei chhak, drive in a single line towards Utkal Hospital and Hatiasuni chhak; from Rasulgarh ROB Vani Vihar Acharya Vihar, Apollo Hospital, Sainik School, Press chhak; drop off point at OSAP 7th Bn. gate, NALCO square, Kalinga Hospital road.

When approaching from the Cuttack side, four-wheelers should use the service road that leads past Rasulgarh ROB, Vani Vihar Square, and Acharya Vihar. Turn right at Apollo Hospital and continue towards the Sainik School campus, parking their vehicle there.
