Comprehensive security protocols implemented for Puri’s Deva Snana Purnima

The police administration has put in place a complex security plan for this Saturday’s Deva Snana Purnima, which is the ceremonial bathing of the Srimandir’s deities in Puri.

On the occasion of Lord Jagannath’s holy bathing festival, thousands of devotees are anticipated to swarm Puri, along with his siblings, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra. Puri Police has made extensive security arrangements for the event.

Puri SP Pinak Mishra states that in order to guarantee the smooth conduct of the festival and the darshan of the devotees, 68 platoon police forces—including four SP rank officers, twelve additional SP rank officers, 22 DSPs, about 60 Inspectors, and over 290 SIs—have been deployed.

“The devotees will pass through three doors after passing through a barricade to receive darshan from “Chaturdha Murti” on Snana Bedi. Beginning at Market Square, the area has been designated as a no-vehicle zone. Marchikot Chhak is only accessible to pass holders,” Mishra stated at a press conference on Friday.
