After leaving the BJD, MP Anubhav Mohanty joins the BJP

In anticipation of the pivotal general elections of 2024, actor-turned-politician and Lok Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, following in the footsteps of his Ollywood colleagues and seniors. At an event hosted at the Delhi headquarters of the party, the Kendrapara MP became a member of the BJP.

On March 30, Anubhav cut ties with the BJD. “I have been grappling with undisclosed concerns that made me feel suffocated over the past four years,” he wrote in his resignation letter to the BJD supremo.

We have backed numerous bills that were in the best interests of the country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction. Article 370 or Triple Talaq, I was honoured to be present at these momentous occasions. To move the nation forward, I want all young people to join the BJP, Anubhav declared.
