On Thursday, Justice Arijit Pasayat, who is in charge of overseeing the inventory of jewels in Puri Srimandir’s Ratna Bhandar (treasure trove), arrived in Odisha.
Pasayat has advised that because of the Rath Yatra, Ratna Bhandar might not open on July 8. He added that the counting process would begin on the day the government decides to open Ratna Bhandar.
“Our work will commence on the day the government decides to open Ratna Bhandar,” Pasayat declared upon his arrival in Bhubaneswar.
Pasayat will be present at the July 5 meeting of the 12-member monitoring committee.
