Aamir Khan files a formal complaint with the Congress over the purported use of a deepfake video in a poll Ad.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who last appeared in “Laal Singh Chaddha,” is fighting back against a political party’s phoney advertisement.

The actor has reported a false Congress advertisement with the Mumbai Police. The aforementioned advertisement, which targets the ruling BJP for their pledge to deposit Rs 15 lakh into each citizen’s account, features a deepfake video of the Bollywood star produced by artificial intelligence.

This purportedly artificial intelligence (AI)-generated deepfake video features a scene from an episode of the Aamir Khan-hosted television series “Satyamev Jayate,” which aired ten years ago.

Aamir Khan’s official representative said in a statement that the actor has filed a lawsuit and reported the issue to the Authority.
