A teacher from Balasore is inducted into the World Book of Records for her “unmatched contribution” to education.

Pitambar Khilar, a teacher in the Bahanaga block of Balasore, received recognition for his “unmatched contribution in promoting educational cause to serve humanity” from the London World Book of Records.

In August of this year, Khilar, an educator at Khetramohan High School in Bahanaga, Balasore, penned a 280-page paper discussing the difficulties the Indian educational system faces and how to overcome them over time.

He also produced a documentary film about his paper, which attracted the interest of the World Book of Records, which extended an invitation for him to attend their October 29 celebration in New Delhi.

Decision-makers and leaders in education from fifteen different countries attended the event. The founder of RELTTAW, Corina Sujdea of Romania, presented the certificates of excellence in recognition of their unmatched commitment to advancing the cause of education.

Speaking to OTV about his accomplishment, Khilar said, “Being inducted into the World Book of Records is an honor that not everyone can obtain.” For the past ten years, I have been attempting to get listed in the World Book of Records.

Khilar was also the recipient of the Prime Time Research Media’s India Excellence award. This award was given to 45 people in total for their services to the field of education.

Additionally, UNESCO honored him for his research on teaching tribal students.

As a teacher and reformer, Khilar has always placed a strong emphasis on educating the oppressed to bring them into the mainstream and eliminating superstition from society.
