On Wednesday night, the corpse of a Junior Engineer (JE) employed by the Water Resources Department was discovered dangling in his government lodgings in Boudh.
Pradeep Kumar Ghosh has been identified as the dead.
According to sources, Ghosh spent yesterday afternoon at his office attending a feast. He went back to his quarters and locked himself up after the feast.
When his coworkers knocked on his door in the evening, he remained silent. After breaking through the rear door, they discovered him dangling from the ceiling fan.

Although Ghosh is thought to have killed himself by hanging, the precise cause of his death is unknown.
