Israel struck Gaza on Wednesday, killing three of Ismail Haniyeh’s sons, the leader of Hamas.
According to Palestinian media sources, Haniyeh’s grandchildren perished in the assault as well.
According to Hebrew media, Haniyeh has acknowledged the deaths and said in a statement, “Everyone living in Gaza has paid a price with the blood of their children, including mine.”
According to media reports in Arabic and Hebrew, they were killed in a car at the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City.
It will be remembered that in October 2023, an Israeli air strike claimed the lives of 14 members of Haniyeh’s immediate family, including his brother and family.
Previous reports from Palestinian media stated that in February 2024, Haniyeh’s son Hazem Haniyeh and his granddaughter Roaa Haniyeh, a doctor, were also slain.
