He proclaimed that the “ongoing war crimes” committed against Palestinians in Gaza would “undoubtedly trigger a collective response from the resistance axis.”
There are legitimate worries that if Hezbollah decides to become involved and strike Israel in support of its Palestinian partners, a new front in the conflict might open up, according to the BBC.
At a gathering in the outskirts of Beirut, Hezbollah’s deputy commander declared that his group was “fully prepared” to support Hamas in its conflict with Israel and that they will act “when the time comes.”
Hezbollah has been labelled a terrorist organisation by the US, the UK, and other nations, just like Hamas in Gaza. According to the BBC, it is a significant political and military player in Lebanon and has ties to Iran.
