Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj, Odisha, welcomes visitors.

The Similipal National Park has reopened to visitors today after being closed for over five months due to the monsoon.

Between 6 am and 9 am, visitors can explore the second-largest biosphere in Asia, according to park sources. 25 vehicles can enter the park from Lulung on the Baripada side, while 35 vehicles can enter through the Kaliani gate on the Jashipur side.

By 3 p.m., tourists are urged to depart the park from Barehipani and Jaranda, and by 4 p.m., from Chahala.

The park’s administration has put forth great effort to accommodate the visitors.

This year, the park has been designated as a plastic-free zone for the first time. Local self-help groups (SHGs) have been enlisted by the park administration to provide a variety of prepared foods to tourists. Visitors may need to relax their spending restrictions in order to sample these delectable foods, which include some genuine local fare.

The park, which spans 2750 sq km, is home to stunning landscapes and Sal trees that seem to be kissing the clouds as they stand as if to greet you. You will enter a different universe as a result of the birds’ chirping and the streams’ giggling. In addition to hills and streams, it is home to 29 reptile species, 231 bird species, and 1076 different types of animals.
