The southwest monsoon is expected to pick up speed and move into more of Odisha.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday, there is a good chance that the southwest monsoon will continue to advance over the next two to three days into additional areas of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, the remaining areas of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and certain areas of Bihar and Jharkhand.
Other than this, there has been less of a cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal, which borders coastal Andhra Pradesh.
