India won a low-scoring thriller against Pakistan by six runs.

India’s bowlers, spearheaded by an incredible Jasprit Bumrah, were all-around excellent on Sunday, leading their team to an exciting six-run victory over Pakistan in a low-scoring Twenty20 World Cup match in New York.

India limited Pakistan to 113 for seven, and Bumrah (3/14) and Hardik Pandya (2/24) gave nothing away while defending a meagre 120.

After a few rain delays, Pakistan’s pacers, Mohammad Amir and Naseem Shah, bowled India out for 119 thanks to impressive spells.

The pitch was slightly two-paced, which Shah (3/21) and Amir (2/23) took advantage of to put breaks on India’s batters, with the exception of Rishabh Pant (42, 31b, 6×4), who produced a couple of stunning shots.

Brief scores: India: 119 all out in 19 overs (Rishabh Pant 42, Axar Patel 20; Naseem Shah 3/21, Mohammad Amir 2/23, Haris Rauf 3/21) beat Pakistan: 113/7 in 20 overs

(Mohammad Rizwan 31; Hardik Pandya 2/24, Jasprit Bumrah 3/14) by six runs.
