According to the Defence Ministry, the Indian Air Force’s Su-30 MK-I fighter jet successfully conducted a test launch of the RudraM-II air-to-surface missile on Wednesday.
According to a statement from the Defence Ministry, the test, which was carried out by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) off the coast of Odisha at about 11.30 a.m., satisfied all of the trial’s goals and validated the propulsion system as well as the control and guidance algorithm. The Integrated Test Range, Chandipur has deployed radar, electro-optical systems, and telemetry stations at different locations, including a ship, to collect flight data that has been used to validate the missile’s performance.
RudraM-II is one of the best solid-propelled air-launched missile systems developed in the country, designed to neutralise a variety of enemy assets.
The system includes a number of cutting-edge indigenous technologies created by different DRDO laboratories.
The IAF, the DRDO, and business were commended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for the successful test, which solidified the RudraM-II system’s function as a force multiplier for the armed forces. Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Chairman of the DRDO and Secretary of Defence R&D, commended the DRDO team for their tireless work and dedication, which paid off with the successful flight test.
