Romeos on the road, take caution! Your actions might put you in jail. A Highly Efficient Response (HER) team has been established by the Bhubaneswar – Cuttack Commissionerate Police to promptly rescue women and girls and prosecute Road Romeos for harassment.
A 14-person Highly Efficient Response (HER) team has been established by the Commissionerate Police to take tough measures against Road Romeos. The team members will search the city for people who are harassing, stalking, or making offensive remarks to women. According to sources, they won’t be freed once they’re apprehended.
The victim has the option to text or call 112 or 6372500400 at the same time. When the HER team arrived, they would rescue the complainant and confront the harassers.
The complainants’ identities would remain undisclosed to the police.
“The HER team has been established to ensure women’s safety and security. Inspectors, sub-inspectors, and constables make up the team. When it comes to those who harass or eve-tease women, we are taking decisive action. Six of these cases have been reported thus far, according to ACP Anjana Tudu.
Notably, on Wednesday during the Ram Navami celebration in Kharavela Nagar, two people were taken into custody by the HER team on charges of harassing a woman.
