Five candidates have been announced by BJD, with CM Naveen Patnaik representing Kantabanji.

Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha and leader of the BJD, is expected to run for the Kantabanji Assembly seat in the 2024 elections. Following BJD’s announcement on Wednesday of the fifth list of Assembly candidates for the upcoming important elections, the air was cleared.

The list of candidates was revealed by BJD chief Naveen Patnaik in a video message today.

In a similar vein, Rohit Pujari and Prasanna Acharya have switched places as leaders. Pujari has been fielded from Sambalpur, and Prasanna Acharya will now compete from Rairakhol.

Acharya was upset that the BJD had previously nominated him from Sambalpur because he was hoping to run for the Rairakhol Assembly seat.

Arundhati Kumari Devi -Deogarh

Sanjukta Singh- Angul
