Rewa, the lioness at Nandankanan Zoological Park, gave birth to three male cubs on Monday, which is wonderful news for animal lovers.
This was announced by Susanta Nanda, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), in a post on his X handle that included a little video clip and a picture of the cubs.
He greeted the newcomers to the zoo by addressing them as Anthony, Akbar, and Amar.
But after the birth, Rewa left her cubs behind. Thus, they have been housed in the zoo’s intensive care unit.
Greetings, Anthony, Akbar, and Amar. Three male cubs have been born to Nandankanan Zoological Park’s seven-year-old Asiatic lion, Rewa. According to PCCF (Wildlife) Nanda’s post, “After their mother abandoned them, they were stabilised in the neonatal ICU and are currently being hand raised.” (SIC)
